Terms & Conditions

• Rates include Breakfast or any other government taxes or levies that may apply.
• Check in time is from 14h00 and checkout time is by 11h00 unless prior arrangement has been made

F.I.T Deposit & Payment /Gaurantee

If the tour operator/company has approved credit agreement with The Lakes, then the prepayment is not
necessary, however the tour operator/company is bound by the below Cancellation Policy, and will be
obliged to settle any cancellation fees incurred.

Payment Terms

• 14 Days prior to arrival of the guest, The Lakes must receive full payment for the reservation held.

• Failure to comply timorously with the terms of deposit, payment will result in the booking being automatically cancelled.

• If no deposit is received, full credit card details must be given to guarantee any reservation.

F.I.T Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be given in writing directly to The Lakes Executive Estate Lodge.
Cancellations made:

• Less than 24 Hours prior to arrival, 100% of the value of the first night’s stay will be charged.

Group Cancellation Policy

All tour cancellations & room reductions must be given in writing directly to The Lakes.

Cancellations made:

• 60 – 45 Days prior to arrival, 10% of the value of the group booking will be charged as a cancellation fee.

• 44 – 15 Days prior to arrival, 50% of the value of the group booking will be charged as a cancellation fee.

• 14 – 3 Days prior to arrival, 80% of the value of the group booking will be charged as a cancellation fee.

• 2 – 0 Days prior to arrival, 100% of the value of the group booking will be charged as a cancellation fee.

• Reduction in the number of rooms utilized versus the number of rooms initially booked.

Group Deposit and Payment Policy

For all group booking the following deposit payments must be received, in the time specified. If the tour
operator/company has an approved credit agreement with The Lakes, then the payment of the deposit
is not necessary, however the tour operator/company is bound to the above cancellation policy, and will
be obliged to settle any cancellation fees incurred.

• 61 Days prior to arrival of the group, The Lakes must receive a 10% deposit on the total invoice value of the group booking.
• 45 Days prior to arrival of the group, The Lakes must receive a 40% deposit on the total invoice value of the group booking. (i.e. at this point The Lakes must have received a total deposit of 50%)
• 15 Days prior to arrival, The Lakes must receive full payment for the group.
• Failure to comply timorously with the term of deposit payments will result in the booking automatically being cancelled.

Payment Details

All credit arrangements are on the direct application to The Lakes and are only extended to the South
African based companies

• We reserve the right to request a deposit or prepayment for the reservation held.
• All payments must be made in South African Rands directly to the bank account of The Lakes.

No – Show Policy

A no – show is the non – arrival of a GUEST without notification in writing by fax or email to The Lakes.
In the case of a no – show, a no – show fee of the full accommodation amount will be levied against you.
If your reservation was guaranteed by a charge to your credit card at the time of the reservation, this will
be forfeited.
